Structural Engineering

A school, retail building, and church are all very different architecturally, but structurally each of these may all be framed in a very similar way. Conversely, two schools may have very different structure using, for instance, pre-cast concrete planks on masonry bearing walls for one building versus steel framed structure with light gauge metal studs for the other. This variety of structure types combined with the variety of building types and our commitment to meet the client’s expectations, requires not only that our Engineers stay up to date on all the latest design requirements for steel, concrete, masonry and wood construction, but also that they be knowledgeable about the special needs of each building type and the costs of construction of each.

To this end, our staff of registered Engineers participate in continuing education opportunities throughout the year, use only state-of-the-art computer software, and meet often with architects and others in the profession to discuss how to improve the final product. This focus on excellence allows our engineers to plan and design structures as diverse as schools, churches, airplane hangars, office buildings, and restaurants just to name a few and with virtually any of the structural building materials. Put simply, we are problem solvers, offering complete structural services to governmental, industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential clients.

A sampling of the services we provide includes:

* Design of Steel, Concrete, Wood, and Masonry
Structures
* Evaluation of Existing Structures
* Structural Planning for Additions to Existing
Structures
* Preliminary Design Including Cost Analysis of
Framing Options
* Feasible Studies Including Code Checking
Building Component Design / Analysis
